New Minds For The New Year

Cicero has kicked off the New Year with some significant new appointments in both the creative and client services teams.

After a period of time spent as a freelance copywriter for some of the North West’s leading agencies, James Currie, 33, joins Cicero as senior copywriter. Attracted by Cicero’s strong creative reputation and by the opportunity to become a permanent member of a well respected design team, James will be working alongside some of the industry’s best creative minds to produce impressive and effective ideas for Cicero’s vast client base. Also, excited by the growth that Cicero has undergone in the past twelve months and by the challenge of helping to maintain this position, James is keen to become involved in and contribute towards Cicero’s new business drive.

Emma Pooley, 25, also moves to Cicero from sales promotion agency, Momentum, where she worked as an account executive on a number of high profile B2C accounts. A desire to broaden her knowledge of marketing communications led Emma to Cicero, where she will be working as an account manager on the Constructing Excellence, Gledhill and Forticrete accounts.

In addition, Cicero has recently appointed Australian born Jes Smith to the client services team. Jes, 24, comes to Cicero from McCann-Erickson, where she worked with a range of blue-chip clients. But with previous experience centred primarily on the consumer side of advertising, Jes was eager to experience life in B2B and was encouraged by the number of long-standing clients that Cicero has on its books. Jes will be working as an account manager on the DAF and Optare accounts.

Danny Turnbull, Cicero managing director says: “With some key appointments, a string of significant business wins, and a move to stylish new offices, 2006 was an exciting and important year for all at Cicero. These latest appointments are borne out of the successes of 2006, but more importantly our continued commitment to growth during 2007, recognising that consistent investment in attracting the very best people is central to this.”
